I had the honour, in Despatch
No. 188, of 12th February last, to bring to notice the passing in the Register of the Supreme Court here, and to recommend Mr. William Hastings Alexander, Acting Registrar, for the permanent appointment on a reduced salary of £600 a year, the amount originally fixed in the establishment of the Supreme Court in 1844.
